Inside Keepit’s $50M Raise: Scaling Revenue Operations for Global Expansion

A $50M round led by One Peak — and the ground-up CRM rebuild that kept a global expansion on the rails.

Keepit leadership celebrating the $50M funding round

Keepit, the independent, cloud-native leader in SaaS data protection and backup, secured $50 million in funding led by existing investor One Peak, alongside EIFO, the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark — the company's third equity investment in four years, bringing its total raised to roughly $90 million.

The announcement. Announced in December 2024, the round was built to accelerate go-to-market expansion, product innovation, and growth across the US, Europe, and other high-growth regions. Keepit protects data for more than 5 million users and over 10,000 companies worldwide from its Copenhagen headquarters and a global network of offices and data centers.

Why it matters. As companies move their most critical workloads into SaaS platforms, vendor-independent backup and immutable data storage have become board-level priorities. Keepit's raise signaled that the category — and the company — had reached escape velocity.

Behind the scenes: the operations underneath a raise. Before founding The WhiteRock Group, our founder Chelsea Tiner was at Keepit during this expansion, leading the charge on revamping the company's entire Salesforce and CRM configuration. Scaling into new regions during a raise means the revenue engine has to hold up under diligence — and perform under growth.

The rebuild. The work spanned the full revenue stack: global lead routing rebuilt with LeanData so every inbound hit the right rep in the right region within minutes; enrichment and account intelligence wired through Clay; meeting scheduling and speed-to-lead automated with Chili Piper; and marketing motions connected through HubSpot — all reconciled into one clean Salesforce data model.

Reporting the board could bet on. During the raise, reporting moved from rep-by-rep spreadsheets to board-ready pipeline, conversion, and forecast views built directly on the rebuilt CRM — one source of truth for operators, executives, and investors alike. It's the same discipline The WhiteRock Group now brings to every client engagement: clean architecture first, connected systems second, and reporting leadership can defend in any room.
